Tonchinkan aired directly following High School! Kimengumi. Death is not an afterthought as it is in most shonen. There is more gravity when a character kills a human being than a demon or a cyborg. Also there are no aliens or monsters or robots. The scattered survivors huddle in ruined cities, awaiting an enlightened warrior-hero worthy of the title of 'Fist of the North Star,' who will start the planet on the path to recovery.

ENGLISH AUDIO TRACKS FOR FIST OF THE NORTHSTAR ANIME SERIES
The manga was adapted into a 43–episode anime series which ran on Fuji TV from Octothrough October 1, 1988. Fist of the North Star doesn’t rely on constantly blowing up the backgrounds for making you think the characters are strong. One of the first anime features, Fist of the North Star was based on a popular manga series set in the not-too-distant future, when Earth has been devastated by a nuclear holocaust. Enjoy :) If you have any feedback, comments, etc please leave that as a review below or send to me via email.

Tsuide ni Tonchinkan ( ついでにとんちんかん ?) is a gag manga series by Koichi Endo which first appeared in Weekly Shōnen Jump in issues 49–50 in 1984, and then ran from 1985 (issue 14) through 1989 (issue 22). The big parody manga and anime series Gintama had ended around that time so this set features some memorable songs for the anime.
